Jaipur, Oct. 4 -- Two drug smugglers were arrested and a truckload's consignment of ganja worth Rs.5 crore was seized in Udaipuri near the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border late on Thursday night, police said on Friday. According to a press release from the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), a joint team of the AGTF and Jhunjhunu police were responsible for the operation, which spanned over three days and was based on a tip-off intimating authorities of a consignment weighing 10.14 quintals slated for delivery from Odisha to smugglers in the Shekhawati region. According to the release, the consignment was found in a secret compartment installed behind the driver's seat. The arrested smugglers- Subhash Gurjar (23) and Pramod Gurjar (20), are both from Sikar district. Interrogations revealed that the consignment was allegedly meant for Shekhawati-based traffickers Raju Pachlangi and an associate only as Gokul. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act and the two accused are still under interrogation, said the release, adding that a probe into establishing the wider network of distribution and financing involved in the operation was underway....
