Barmer/Pali, Aug. 28 -- A 45-year-old man and his 15-year-old son were electrocuted to death after a damaged electricity pole collapsed on them in Pilovani village of Pali district on Thursday morning, police said. The man's wife also suffered serious burn injuries in the incident and was admitted to Bangar Hospital in Pali, where she is undergoing treatment, they said. Khinwara station house officer Balbhadra Singh said Ramaram, a resident of Devla village in Udaipur district, had been living in Pilovani with his wife Sunri Devi (42) and son Senaram (15). Ramaram worked as a farm labourer. At around 10.30 am, the family was on its way to a well to fetch water when the damaged electricity pole suddenly fell as they passed by. The live wires fell on all three of them, causing Ramaram and Senaram to die on the spot. Sunri Devi suffered serious electric shock injuries and was rushed to Bangar Hospital in Pali. A Pilovani resident, Shravan, alleged that the electricity pole had been damaged for a long time and that villagers had repeatedly asked the discom authorities to replace it....
