Bharatpur/Dholpur, April 24 -- A police team was deployed in a village to maintain law and order situation after a clash over excavation of soil from pasture land left 10 people injured on Thursday in Dholpur district, police said. The incident took place in village Murawali under Kanchanpur police station when people belonging to two groups started attacking each other with lathis and opening fire, police said. Kanchanpur police station in-charge Ram Kishan Yadav said the clash erupted between the two groups in the village over excavation of soil from pasture land. "There is a pasture land where people of a group were excavating soil but another group's people tried to stop them. In the fighting, around ten people sustained injuries while one of them has bullet injuries," he said. On being informed, police reached the spot and rushed all injured to the district Mangal Singh hospital. "Around ten people who were injured are undergoing treatment in hospital," Yadav said, adding that to maintain law and order, police team has been deployed in the village.
