JODHPUR, June 21 -- A 35-year-old man died on Saturday morning after he and another man were shot by a group of armed assailants near Bombay Motor Circle in Jodhpur district late on Friday night, police said, adding that one suspect has been detained while efforts are underway to arrest the remaining accused. According to police, the incident took place around 10.30 pm when Vicky Fighter (35) and Sunny Hans had reportedly come to get their SUV repaired. "Five to six assailants on bikes and a scooter suddenly attacked the two men with sharp weapons, vandalised their vehicle, chased them, assaulted them and opened fire before fleeing," additional deputy commissioner of police (West) Narendra Singh Devra said. Vicky sustained a gunshot wound to the head, while Sunny was shot in the back, police said. Both were rushed to Mathuradas Mathur Hospital in critical condition. Devra said Vicky succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning during treatment, while Sunny continues to undergo treatment. Devra said the accused have been identified and one has been detained....
