Dehradun, Aug. 27 -- Pauri Garhwal police have filed a case based on a complaint by a woman from Delhi who alleged that she was raped by one of her fiance's cousins at a resort in the district, a senior police officer said on Tuesday, adding that the accused was still absconding. According to the police, the complainant had come to Lansdowne on Saturday with her fiance and two of his cousins. They checked into a resort near Jaiharikhal. Later, while they were drinking together in their room, one of the cousins allegedly sexually assaulted the woman, police said, adding that a zero FIR was filed under Section 64 (punishment for rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), on the matter on Monday. Pauri Garhwal senior superintendent of police (SSP) Lokeshwar Singh said, "The woman in her complaint alleged that when on Saturday they were drinking together, one of her fiance's cousins sexually assaulted her."
