Gurugram, Aug. 28 -- The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Thursday issued a notice to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for "not complying" with its order to submit a report on the pollution load caused by stone crushing units in Mahendragarh. NGT's bench, headed by chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava and expert member Dr. A. Senthil Vel, was hearing a miscellaneous application in a disposed-of case from 2025.
The case relates to environmental violations caused by 88 identified stone crusher units across the district.
In its final order dated July 3, 2025, the NGT had directed the CPCB to cross-check the carrying capacity of the affected area and file its report by consulting an expert body by October 3.
The CPCB said it will submit its findings before the next hearing.abhishek bhatia...
