Gurugram, Oct. 30 -- Police on Thursday arrested a 25-year-old court clerk and apprehended a 15-year-old boy for allegedly attempting to extort Rs.50 lakh from a wine shop owner in Farrukhnagar. The complainant, 40, told police he received a threatening call on October 25 from someone claiming to be a criminal based in the US. An FIR was registered Wednesday under Section 308(2) of the BNS. Police identified the adult suspect as Sumit, of Sikanderpur Bada. Police said he obtained a virtual foreign number and arranged for the minor to make the call, while he would collect the money.HTC...
