Mini Secretariat gets new medical centre
Gurugram, April 2 -- A medical centre offering free health services and checkups was inaugurated at the Mini Secretariat in Sector 11, Gurugram, on Wednesday, officials said, adding that the facility will cater to government employees and visitors.
Located on the second floor, the centre has been set up to provide basic healthcare support, including general checkups, first aid, essential medicines and consultations, said officials privy to the matter.
Ajay Kumar, deputy commissioner of Gurugram, said the facility will reduce the need for visitors to travel elsewhere for minor ailments.
"A dedicated team of healthcare professionals and trained medical staff will conduct general health checkups; provide first aid, essential medicines, and consultations. Immediate assistance for any emergencies," Kumar said during the inauguration.
The centre will operate on weekdays from 10am to 5pm and will remain open to all visitors, Kumar said.
A senior district administration official added that specialist consultations will also be arranged periodically. "Senior specialist doctors will also periodically visit the facility for medical consultations. The centre's staff will aid in initial emergency assistance for stabilising patients before referring them to larger health facilities in the district," the official said, requesting anonymity.
