Man stabs father for refusing his demand for money: Police
Gurugram, Sept. 14 -- A 22-year-old unemployed man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his father at their home in Nathupur after the latter refused to give him money, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on the intervening night of September 11 and 12. According to investigators, the accused frequently demanded money from his father, who runs a grocery shop in the area.
Police said an altercation broke out on Friday night after the father refused to give him money. In a fit of rage, the accused allegedly took two blades from the shop, tied them to a knife and slashed his father's neck, attempting to cause fatal injuries.
A case was registered at the DLF Phase-3 police station under section 109 (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A police team from the Nathupur police post arrested the accused on Saturday.
Police said the accused is originally from Doabar in Bihar's Madhubani district and currently lives in Nathupur.
The knife used in the alleged attack was recovered. The accused was produced before a court and sent to judicial custody on Saturday....
