Greater Noida, June 18 -- A 22-year-old worker was critically injured after two of his colleagues, in a prank, inserted an air pressure tube into his rectum and turned on the machine in Greater Noida's Rabupura area on Tuesday, a police officer said on Wednesday. The victim had suffered severe intestinal injuries and is on ventilator support. The accused, including his cousin, have been arrested on charges of attempt to murder. "Around 12 pm on Tuesday, when the victim was sweeping the floor in a factory, the suspects inserted an air pipe connected to a machine into his rectum and pumped air into his body. Due to the air pressure, the victim sustained severe intestinal damage," reads the FIR lodged following a complaint by the factory manager. Police said the pipe was connected to a powerful air-pressure machine commonly used to clean factory floors. "In a few minutes, the victim started experiencing severe abdominal pain and bleeding and was rushed to a nearby private hospital by the factory staffers and is on ventilator support," said Shyam Babu Shukla, station house officer, Rabupura.
