Hry forest dept identifies over 45 structures for demolition in Aravallis
Gurugram, Oct. 16 -- Haryana's forest department has identified more than 45 residential and commercial complexes allegedly encroaching on forest land in Ghamroj, Behrampur and Naurangpur, and plans to launch a demolition drive in mid-November, officials said on Thursday.
According to officials, 20 buildings have been identified in Ghamroj, another 20 in Behrampur and at least five residential complexes in Naurangpur.
Surinder Dangi, divisional forest officer, said the department had begun issuing notices to the owners and contractors of the complexes, asking them to remove the encroachments before the proposed drive.
