Gurugram, Sept. 25 -- The Gurugram unit of the Rajkiya Prathmik Shikshak Sangh Haryana staged a protest and submitted a memorandum to the state government, seeking withdrawal of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) requirement for teachers appointed before 2010. The protest followed a September 14 directive asking teachers with more than five years of service remaining to clear HTET or face compulsory retirement. Union president Ashok Prajapati said asking teachers with 25 to 30 years of experience to clear the examination at this stage was unjust.
