Ggm convention centre to be on lines of Suntec City in S'pore: CM
Gurugram, Oct. 6 -- Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday visited Singapore's Suntec City to study its convention centre and facilities for the proposed 25-acre convention centre in Gurugram.
Saini examined the construction technology, engineering, operational systems and other facilities at Suntec City, with the state government looking to incorporate relevant international practices into the Gurugram project.
"The convention centre to be developed in Gurugram will be on the lines of Singapore's Suntec City," Saini said, adding that the visit was aimed at understanding global best practices.
The proposed centre is expected to host international conferences, business meetings, exhibitions and other large events. Saini said it would strengthen Gurugram's position as a business and events destination and help attract investment to Haryana.
As part of his Singapore visit, which began on Saturday, Saini also visited Gardens by the Bay and reviewed practices related to environmental conservation, water management and urban infrastructure.
He also announced plans for a large landscaped park in Manesar, saying it would add green, open spaces alongside upcoming infrastructure development.
Saini said practices studied in Singapore will be examined for possible adoption in Haryana....
