Gurugram, Oct. 2 -- Police on Thursday said a 26-year-old man allegedly used a forged seal, letterhead and digital signature of BJP MLA Satish Kumar to verify documents and charge applicants for the service. The suspect, identified as Saurabh Kumar, lives in Parvatiya Colony and runs a common service centre and a printing unit. Kumar was arrested on Tuesday after the MLA's office filed a complaint at Saran police station. Police said they recovered the MLA's seal, forms and letterhead from his possession. Police said Kumar charged Rs.1,000 per family and allegedly made around Rs.1 lakh through the fraud. The matter came to light on Monday when some families visited the MLA's office in Dabua Colony for further verification. Staff grew suspicious after noticing the seals and signatures and found that the MLA had neither met the applicants nor signed their documents. Police said Kumar allegedly got the idea after visiting the MLA's office to get documents for his wife's Aadhaar update verified.
