Diagnostic centres to be set up at Ggm, Faridabad
Gurugram, Aug. 22 -- The Haryana health department is planning to set up radiology diagnostics centres at civil hospitals in five districts, including Gurugram and Faridabad, officials said on Friday.
The department has extended the deadline for submitting bids to August 26, added officials.
In March, the Haryana Medical Services Corporation floated a Rs.46 crore tender to develop CT scan facilities at civil hospitals in Gurugram, Faridabad, Panchkula, Bhiwani and Sonepat.
Separate MRI services will also be provided at proposed centres in Panchkula, Bhiwani and Faridabad. Each facility will have a 64-detector-row multislice CT scanner and the MRI centres will have a 1.5-tesla machine. Officials said an estimated Rs.5 crore and Rs.7 crore will be spent on developing, operating and maintaining each CT scan and MRI facility, respectively.
The concessionaire will provide round-the-clock services for 10 years to patients, including those availing government schemes and patients paying under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) rates, officials said.
"Each centre will have a trained radiologist with emergency test results available within 30 minutes," another senior official said....
