Gurugram, March 6 -- The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday granted bail to Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar, 30, who was arrested for allegedly conspiring to kill two men on February 16, 2023, on suspicion of cow smuggling. The charred remains of two men were found in a burnt SUV in Haryana's Bhiwani on February 16, 2023, said police officials. According to investigators, Monu allegedly conspired with a group of cow vigilantes to abduct and kill both men. The men who were allegedly burnt to death were later identified by police as Nasir, 25, and Junaid, 35-both residents of Bharatpur in Rajasthan. According to police, Monu was arrested on September 12, 2023, from a market zone in Manesar for his alleged involvement in the Nuh riots of 2023. The self-proclaimed Bajrang Dal member has multiple cases of hate speech and allegedly circulating provocative posts on social media registered against him, sparking communal tensions ahead of a Hindu outfit's Jalabhishek Yatra in Haryana's Nuh on August 28, 2023. The police in Rajasthan arrested Monu in September 2023 and took him on transit remand in connection with the murders of Nasir and Junaid. He has been lodged in a Rajasthan prison ever since. Investigators said Manesar remains in prison for not furnishing a bail bond in another case involving allegedly firing in the open at the Babar Shah locality in Pataudi during a February 2023 dispute, which left a 20-year-old man injured....
