New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Ahead of the BRICS Summit 2026, Delhi Traffic Police on Tuesday cautioned commuters about temporary traffic restrictions and diversions during international dignitaries' movement from September 11 to 13. In posts on X, commuters, particularly those travelling through central Delhi, were advised to plan journeys, use the Metro and avoid unnecessary travel along VVIP routes. "In view of the movement of international dignitaries during the Summit, traffic may be temporarily regulated/diverted on certain roads in and around New Delhi," the advisory stated. Passengers travelling to Indira Gandhi International Airport and railway stations were asked to leave early, check routes and monitor diversions. They were urged to follow official Delhi Police and Delhi Traffic Police platforms for real-time updates. Delhi is hosting the summit at Bharat Mandapam on September 12 and 13.
