Gurugram, April 22 -- A fire broke out at a shoe packaging company's warehouse in Sector 74 on Tuesday evening, leaving two workers with minor burn injuries on their arms, police said. Twelve fire tenders from stations in Sectors 29, 37, Bhim Nagar, Pataudi, Manesar, and Sohna were dispatched to the spot at 5.37pm. A massive smoke plume was visible from several kilometres away, with residents reporting it could be seen from the Kherki Dhaula toll plaza. "The trapped workers were rescued immediately. Around 12 fire tenders were deployed on the spot, controlling the blaze until 9.30pm," said Narender Yadav, fire station officer at Bhim Nagar. HT could not contact the proprietors and supervisors of the warehouse by the time of going to print. "The exact cause of the blaze is unknown. A possible cause through preliminary investigations will be ascertained on Wednesday," Yadav said. Residents, meanwhile, noted fire tenders took around 15 minutes to reach the spot....
