ZEROBASEONE returns as five-piece act, eyes a fresh 'ascend'
India, May 19 -- Kpop group ZEROBASEONE is returning with its new EP, Ascend-, after reorganising into a five-member act. Originally formed through Mnet's Boys Planet, the group debuted in 2023 and scored six consecutive million-selling albums before its two and a half year project ended earlier this year.
Members Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae and Park Gun-wook decided to continue as ZEROBASEONE, while four former members debuted separately as a new group.
Their new album leans into a more minimal and contemporary R&B sound. The lead single, Top 5, blends early-2000s influences with modern dance-pop beats. The extented play, releasing Monday, has seven tracks, including B-side tracks like Exotic. HTC...
