India, July 13 -- After months of uncertainty, Tamil Nadu CM C. Joseph Vijay's Jana Nayagan has finally been cleared for release by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an A (Adults Only) certificate. The certification was announced by the production banner KVN Productions on Saturday on Instgaram, shared alongside a new poster which referred to Vijay as "The Honourable Chief Minister". This is the first time the title has been used in the film's promotional material. Jana Nayagan is expected to arrive in theatres later this month in India, but an official release date has not been announced yet. The film is, however, confirmed to be released in the United Kingdom on July 24, where advance bookings have already opened. Jana Nayagan was originally slated for a January release but was delayed after objections were raised by a member of the CBFC's examining committee during the certification process. The film was subsequently referred to the revising committee, with the certification requiring multiple cuts and modifications before being granted clearance. The film's road to release has been marred by other setbacks as well, including the leak of several key scenes online before it received CBFC clearance.HTC...
