India, Feb. 27 -- As excitement and debate builds around actor Yash starrer Pan-India film Toxic, British actor Benedict Garrett, who is a part of the project, says the film isn't afraid to provoke. "It may offend some people, but is brave enough to go there," he notes. Responding to concerns that the film's teaser, released recently, makes it unsuitable for children, he questions society's double standards. "You're worried it may not be a family film because you see sex in it, but don't mind taking your child to watch gruesome violence," he says, adding that he would rather expose a child to conversations about sex than brutality, a discomfort he attributes to a lingering "Victorian British mentality" in India. Having worked in India cinema for four years, he praises its growing willingness to address taboo subjects. "More films are confronting controversial topics," he says citing OMG 2 for tackling teenage masturbation."I was a sex educator in London. so I understand the importance of these things," he adds. Garrett has also appeared in Bollywood films like Baby John (2024), and Jawan (2023)....
