India, June 19 -- As the intense heat overlaps with the ongoing exam season at Delhi University (DU), one college's initiative to make it comfortable for students is drawing attention online. Subhash Kumar Singh, principal of Satyawati College Morning, has spoken about ensuring that all classrooms used for examinations were equipped with ACs. "I am always thinking about what better facilities we can provide to our students. It is difficult for students to sit for examinations in classrooms during the summer months when temperatures are so high," he told DU Today. Planning began back in February, he shares, adding, "We worked towards creating enough capacity so that at least 1,000 students could write their exams comfortably." Today, Singh claims, no student at the college is writing an exam in a non-AC classroom: "When students are able to sit and write their exams in favourable conditions, it automatically helps them perform better."...
