India, Aug. 18 -- P rabhas' upcoming horror-comedy The Raja Saab (still from the movie on the left) recently landed in legal trouble after Delhi-based Ivy Entertainment filed a case over workers' payments. Responding to the controversy, the film's producers, People Media Factory (PMF), have issued a clarification. In a statement shared on X, PMF said it had disbursed nearly Rs.60 crore in the past 12 months towards daily wage workers, with around Rs.1 crore still pending for work done in July. "This does not include monthly contract associates across various crafts, whose payments, about Rs.30 crore, are fully current. It also excludes remunerations of key technicians, artists, vendors, VFX teams, and location expenses," the statement read. The production house also hit out at "self-proclaimed federation/union leaders" for making public claims. "PMF has no agreements or obligations with any federations/unions and consequently holds no dues to them. That said, we acknowledge the limited pending payments from the July schedule, which were payable at the start of the next schedule as per industry practice," it added. PMF announced it will release the dues directly into workers' bank accounts this week, bypassing intermediaries. "To ensure transparency, all future payments will also be made directly to workers. PMF will not release funds to representatives under any circumstance," the statement concluded. HTC...
