Swaroop Khan on being falsely declared dead: There should be stricter safeguards in place

waroop Khan recently experienced a bizarre online mix-up after Google briefly showed him as deceased, and the Rajasthani folk singer reveals that initially, he couldn't stop laughing at the absurdity of the situation. But eventually, it did hit him hard.
"I felt very bad. Thankfully, it didn't reach my family first. Otherwise, they would have been worried," says the 34-year-old, known for songs like Tharki Chokro (PK, 2014) and Ghoomar (Padmaavat, 2018).
Another Rajasthan-based folk artiste with the same name as Khan recently passed away, and the singer suspects that could have started the goof up. However, he emphasises, "There should be stricter safeguards in place. If platforms are displaying detailed information about public figures, they should have proper verification systems before any changes are made," adding, "These things can create unnecessary panic and confusion."
While concerned, he is also seeing the lighter side: "People told me that such news increases your age. So, now I feel my age has increased," he ends with a laugh....
