ctor Shilpa Shinde has once again slammed the TV industry while reacting to reports that actor Shehzada Dhami is yet to receive nearly Rs.30 lakh in pending dues. In a strongly worded Instagram video on Thursday, Shilpa alleged that TV producers operate like "white-collar mafias" and often threaten or sideline those who support artistes. "We artistes cannot do the same because producers hold our payments for up to 90 days, and those payments often get withheld," she said.
Shilpa also addressed the backlash she faced after recently admitting that the sexual harassment complaint she had filed against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! producer Sanjay Kohli was false. She said people were wrongly accusing her of speaking up for money and criticised those who publicly mourn artistes after their deaths but fail to support them during difficult times.
"Today, 10 years later, that producer is still making TV shows and films. No one has the courage to fight for justice for themselves. And then people end up taking extreme steps like suicide," she said. Maintaining that she no longer wished to work in the industry, Shilpa added, "Raaste mein sabzi bechungi par aise logo ki nahin chatungi main." HTC...
