India, Aug. 26 -- Actor Disha Patani's sister, former Army officer Khushboo Patani, has joined the outrage against the Noida dowry death case. Sharing visuals of the disturbing death on Instagram, Khushboo penned a lengthy note questioning the hypocrisy and seeming apathy of society towards such incidents. "Character certificate dene wale kahan gaye? Nikki ne kabhi socha bhi nahin hoga ki wo iss duniya se aise jayegi. Ye hain humari izzat, humari betiyan... Samajh jaoge ya humari kurbaniyon se hi jaagoge?" her post read. Khushboo also wrote in Hindi, "Shame on those parents who give or take dowry. Despite being a criminal offence, this practice continues." Tagging Uttar Pradesh Police and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, she asked for justice to be delivered in the case. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognisance of the case, directing the UP Director General of Police to ensure swift action and provide a detailed report within three days.
