India, July 25 -- T he popular American TV series The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, will conclude with its fifth season. It was announced on Thursday that the final season will premiere in 2027. Aniston and Witherspoon will reprise their roles as journalists and co-anchors Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, respectively, in the show about a fictional morning news broadcast. The final season will introduce several new cast members, including Jeff Daniels, Renee Rapp, Jesse Williams, Sean Hayes and Lizzy Caplan. More names are expected to be announced later. Aniston, who also serves as an executive producer on the series, said the team always knew season five would be the last. "We were fortunate to craft the conclusion with intentionality and honour these characters the way they deserve. It's been such a privilege to work with this insanely talented cast, and our extraordinary writers, producers and crew," she said in a statement. Witherspoon, who is also an executive producer, called her nine years with the show "the honour of a lifetime".
