hink of a classic sibling duo from '80s Bollywood with a pinch of Tom-and-Jerry-style banter and you've got actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, entrepreneur Showikk Chakraborty. Their fun equation is evident through their constant teasing, but on Raksha Bandhan, love and admiration take centre stage. "Raksha Bandhan is deeply meaningful to me," says Rhea, adding, "I used to make rakhis with coloured wool as a child. It's the one day I can tell my brother, 'Aaj to achhe se baat kar le, lad mat'."
Reflecting on their journey, she adds, "Showikk has stood by me through thick and thin. We've experienced things that most siblings never have. That's forged an unbreakable bond."
Showikk chimes in, "As kids, she protected me. But over the past few years, we've begun protecting each other. Having her is like having a sister, best friend, and sometimes even a mother rolled into one, which can get annoying!"
While Rhea may be the public figure, she jokes that her brother often steals the spotlight: "He gets a lot of female attention! At events, I'll find girls being unusually sweet to me, just because they want to impress him. Since he calls me 'Rhea di,' at least 30 girls in Mumbai do the same, hoping it'll help!"...
