India, Sept. 11 -- YouTuber-turned-actor Prajakta Koli, who is married to Kathmandu-born Vrishank Khanal, has voiced her concern over the unrest and escalating violence in Nepal, spurred on by protests against corruption and a social media ban. On Tuesday, the 32-year-old took to her Instagram to extend her support to those affected by the turmoil. "What happened in Nepal yesterday is truly heartbreaking," Prajakta wrote on her Story. The actor, recently seen in the series Andhera, added that she has decided to cancel her upcoming trip to the country. She added, "Any form of celebration at such a time feels inappropriate. My heart goes out to the families of those who have suffered. I was really looking forward to being there, but now isn't the right time. Hopefully, I'll see you all very soon." Prajakta post comes after 19 people in Nepal lost their lives after the protests across the country took a deadly turn. The agitation began after the government shut down over two dozen social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, and X, sparking outrage among citizens who were already protesting corruption. While the ban was lifted on Monday night, the protests continued - with mobs setting government buildings - including the Nepal Parliament, on fire. Actor Manisha Koirala, who is the granddaughter of former Nepal Prime Minister Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala and daughter of former politician Prakash Koirala also spoke out against the violent crackdown on protestors, calling it a "black day" for the country. Sharing an image of a blood-soaked shoe online, she wrote in Nepali, "When bullets respond to the voice of the people, outrage against corruption and demand for justice."htc...
