India, Sept. 27 -- India's medal tally at the ongoingAsian Games in Japan's Nagoya continues to rise. Indian Army Havildar Sawan Barwal won the silver medal in the men's marathon, not only securing India's first Asian Games marathon medal since 1982 but also setting a national record with a time of 2:11:37. Congratulations were in order also for Baranica Elangovan, who won a bronze in the Women's Pole Vault, securing the country its first-ever medal in this event at the Games.
