Leadership, resilience and the spirit of womanhood
India, March 8 -- International Women's Day celebrates the extraordinary spirit of women. Their courage, compassion, wisdom and unwavering commitment to building a better world. It is a moment to honour not only widely recognised achievers but also the countless women whose strength and everyday efforts continue to uplift families, institutions, and communities.
One of the most profound influences in my life has been Mother Teresa. Her life of selfless service and compassion left a lasting impression on me. Her words were, "I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much," which have often guided me through challenging moments.
They remind me that true leadership is grounded in humility, empathy and faith. As we mark Women's Day this year, the theme "Give To Gain" carries a powerful message. When women share their knowledge, encouragement, and opportunities with others, they create a ripple effect of empowerment. Every act of mentorship builds confidence. Every word of support strengthens belief. Every opportunity shared opens new doors. When women uplift one another, progress becomes collective and meaningful. Education plays a transformative role in shaping confident and capable women. Over the years, I have seen how women educators and leaders bring empathy, creativity, and strength to the institutions they guide. My understanding of success has also evolved with time. Today, I believe success is not defined only by milestones achieved but by resilience, adaptability, and the ability to turn challenges into opportunities. Leadership does not follow a fixed checklist - it is a continuous journey of learning, growth, and service. To every woman, I say: believe in yourself. Embrace your individuality, trust your God-given abilities, and use your unique talents with confidence. You are born to win - think big, dream big, and achieve big.
