India, June 29 -- Actor Satendra Soni, known for Laapataa Ladies (2024), shared a distressed video on Saturday alleging that he was denied payment, mistreated and threatened during the shoot of Pedh Palki in Madhya Pradesh. Soni claimed he was paid Rs.50,000 as a signing amount and promised the rest after the shoot, but when he demanded payment after eight days of shooting, director Pushpendra Singh and his wife Pragati Chauhan threatened to kill him. A part of his caption read in Hindi: "I was very scared, and as I started checking out of the hotel, Shreedhar Dubey and Pankaj Sharma also came with me. The three of us were walking when they chased us in a car. Pragati Chauhan and Pushpendra Singh started beating me in the middle of the road. When Shridhar Bhaiya came forward to save me, the director started beating him too." On Sunday, he shared an update saying he reached Mumbai safely, thanking Madhya Pradesh Police for helping him. We tried reaching out to Satendra Soni after he returned to Mumbai, but his phone was switched off.htc...
