India, July 22 -- As Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's film Jana Nayagan nears its July 23 release after a seven-month certification battle and legal standoff, director H Vinoth has said the film should not be viewed as the actor-politician's final film. "Whether this is really his last film, no one can say for sure. But you could say this is the CM Vijay sir's first film," he told Cinema Vikatan. His comments come after Vijay himself referred to it as his "last film" at the audio launch in December last year. Before the announcement, too, this was widely touted to be his last outing as an actor before he entered politics full-time. The director also revealed that the team had initially even considered naming the film Naalaiya Theerpu (1992), the title of Vijay's debut film, to create a link between his first and what many consider to be his final film.
