India, April 25 -- A t Milan Design Week, a playful yet intricate concept reimagined the everyday coffee machine. Titled The World's Smallest Coffee Shops, the project featured a series of hyper-detailed miniature cafe facades built directly onto fully automatic machines. Created in collaboration with master miniaturist Simon Weisse, who has famously worked with director Wes Anderson, in collaboration with Italian appliance brand De'Longhi, the installation draws inspiration from iconic coffee cities including Milan, Paris, Tokyo, Copenhagen and Berlin. Each piece, roughly the size of a wine bottle, translates real architectural details into tiny, immersive scenes, complete with bistro curtains, miniature cups and even functional windows that reveal the machine's interface. Built over more than 1,500 hours using film-grade techniques, the designs bring the experience of a global cafe into the home, one cup at a time....
