India, Sept. 28 -- This evening in the city will see young singer Inayat Kaur Bajaj take the stage to perform for an audience of more than 7,000 at Rendezvous, the annual cultural festival for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi students. Popular for her stint on Indian Idol Season 15, the emerging artiste is known for her stage presence, especially after her original renditions of Cham Cham and Hamari Atariya, which crossed four million views on YouTube. Her recently released Sajna Sang Tere also adds to her growing repertoire. A trained vocalist with a strong grounding in Indian classical music, Bajaj explores Indian classical, Punjabi and folk traditions, Bollywood, Western rock and pop, and opera. Her journey gained attention when she emerged as one of Indian Idol Season 15's top 30 finalists. Since then, she has expanded her repertoire through original music, collaborations and live performances, earning appreciation from names including actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana and musicians Arijit Singh, Tanishk Bagchi, Vishal Dadlani, Karan Aujla and Badshah. Her collaborations include Chhallawa with Humans of Bombay, while her recent release features Shyam Sidhawat, Lijo George and Mohsin Shaikh.
