ow long is it taking you to reach your destination in the pre-Diwali rush? For Delhiites stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic, hours are beginning to feel like minutes. From Moolchand and ITO to the ever-choked Delhi-Gurugram expressway near Sirhaul Toll Plaza, the festive rush has turned almost every major intersection across NCR into a gridlock.
Commuters say traffic this week has been "unlike anything seen before," with long jams reported even in areas like Chanakyapuri and Teen Murti Marg. Social media has been flooded with frustrated posts and memes. One X user, @PanditRamJoshi, wrote: "Work from home, flying cars or self-driving cars are the only solution. More flyovers or metros won't help." Another, @ChopraBamby, shared: "Not a single traffic police officer on duty. It took me 2.5 hours to cover 12 km."
