Faissal Khan cuts all ties with Aamir Khan, family after alleged mistreatment
India, Aug. 18 -- A
amir Khan's brother and former actor Faissal Khan has announced that he has severed all ties with his family, weeks after alleging that he was mistreated over the years. His decision follows a statement from Aamir and his family, who had dismissed his earlier remarks as "misleading".
In an official note shared with Bollywood Bubble, Faissal declared that he had cut off all familial and estate-related ties with immediate effect. He clarified that he would no longer be considered part of the family of his parents, (late father) Tahir Hussain and (mother) Zeenat Tahir Hussain, or any other listed relatives. He also renounced any rights to his parents' estate and said he would not be liable for obligations linked to it.
"I will from the date hereof not reside in the residence of my brother Aamir Khan, and I will also not claim any monthly allowance/maintenance from my brother Aamir Khan. All persons are required to take note that my decision to sever all ties with my family members has been arrived at after very careful consideration on my part," his statement read.
Faissal also alleged that between 2005 and 2007, he was subjected to "unwanted forced medication" and "confined to home akin to house arrest". He claimed that in 2007, his family tried to force him to give up his signatory rights and that his mother, Zeenat, and sister, Nikhat Hegde, falsely accused him of suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. A court, he said, dismissed those allegations in February 2008.
Accusing his family of defaming him once again, he said, "In August 2025, they published false statements in print and social media claiming I was misleading and misrepresenting facts. On the contrary, they have been responsible for jeopardising my career and creating havoc in my personal and professional life since 2005."
The former actor urged the public and media to respect his privacy and revealed that he plans to move court next month by filing a writ petition to pursue further legal steps. HTC...
