DU's initiatives for a fear-free anti-ragging campus
India, July 25 -- On July 28, over 60,000 freshers will begin their college journey on Day 1 of Delhi University's new academic session. But for some, the excitement of this new chapter is marred by the daunting possibility of facing ragging or bullying on campus.
One such student is Ayan Sharma, who has enrolled at Kirori Mal College. A resident of Rajasthan's Bundi, this will be his first visit to Delhi. He shares, "I am from a smaller town and will be visiting Delhi for the first time. Being part of such a huge ecosystem and a new life does feel scary at times. But what's bothering me more than anything is what will my first interaction with seniors and super seniors be like?"
To address and handle this concern right out of the gate, the university, colleges under DU, as well as senior students are stepping up for the incoming batch of freshers....
