Delivery man's humble 2am sorry turns customer's irritation into empathy
India, Sept. 22 -- A late-night food delivery in Delhi sparked an online discussion. A Reddit user revealed how a delivery worker's humble apology compelled him to reconsider his irritation.
The incident was posted on the r/Delhi subreddit titled 'Rare 'sorry' from delivery guy made me feel guilty' (see inset above). The user recounted the events of an order placed at 2am: "I told the delivery guy to call on my mobile. Don't let the security guard call the landline, my parents will wake up... If it rings at that hour, it's game over."
And the landline did, in fact, ring! The user added, "I wanted to remind him about my earlier instructions. But when he handed me the food, the first thing he said was, 'Maaf kar dijiye, main aapki phone vaali baat bhool gaya, galti ho gayi'."
