India, Jan. 21 -- B rooklyn Peltz-Beckham, the eldest son of former footballer David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, has finally addressed months of speculation surrounding a rift with his parents. In a series of Stories on Monday, the 26-year-old accused his parents of "attacking" him and his wife, actor Nicola Peltz-Beckham, through the media. "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. unfortunately, my parents have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to tell the truth," he wrote. Brooklyn said he no longer wished to reconcile with his family, adding, "I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life." Much of his statement focused on his wife, who he said had been "consistently disrespected by my family." The feud is widely believed to have begun around Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding in 2022, reportedly over Nicola's decision not to wear a Victoria Beckham design and instead choosing a Valentino gown after Victoria's atelier reportedly said they couldn't make the dress. Reports of strain persisted after the wedding, and the rift was further fuelled by Brooklyn and Nicola's absence from key Beckham family events, including David's 50th birthday celebrations in May 2025, as well as the couple's decision to hold a vow-renewal ceremony in August without the Beckham family in attendance.
