India, March 22 -- Actor Arjun Rampal, receiving acclaim for his intense portrayal of Major Iqbal in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar The Revenge, has signed his next major project. He will join actor Rishab Shetty's historical epic The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, taking on a key antagonist role, according to Variety India. Directed by Sandeep Singh, the film also stars Shefali Shah as Rajmata Jijabai, Shivaji Maharaj's mother. The epic will chronicle the legendary Maratha ruler's courage, military brilliance, and defiance against the Mughal empire, celebrating his enduring legacy. This marks Rampal's first new signing after Dhurandhar. He also has a busy slate ahead, including filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's upcoming series O Saathi Re, co-starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Avinash Tiwary.
