India, July 11 -- Ambience Public School, Gurugram, organised its annual Investiture Ceremony on May 22 to formally induct its newly selected Student Council 2026-27. The event marked the transition of leadership responsibilities to the young leaders, encouraging them to uphold the values of the institution. The ceremony was presided over by the Chief Guest Prof Sriparna Pathak, director, Centre for North East Asian Studies, OP Jindal University, author and expert on Sino-Indian relations. She was joined by guests of honour, honourable Arjun Gehlot and Shahista Gehlot, Directors at the Ambience Group and members of the School Management Committee. The event began with the school band welcoming the dignitaries in a grand reception, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting. Principal Garima Pandey delivered the welcome address, speaking about the importance of leadership, integrity and accountability in student life. The cultural segment added a celebratory spirit to the occasion, including a welcome song by the school choir, a rhythmic performance by the school band, and an energetic dance presentation by students of Classes III to V. Following the vibrant cultural performances, the newly selected student council members marched in proudly for the official pinning ceremony. The young leaders were conferred with their badges and sashes by the dignitaries. In a special gesture of encouragement, each council member was presented with a token of appreciation and a personal letter from Shahista Gehlot. The highlight of the event was the swearing-in ceremony. Prof Sriparna Pathak administered the official oath of office, as student leaders solemnly pledged to uphold the values of the institution, keeping alive the school motto, Humanity First. The council promised to lead by embodying the core 3Rs of the school: responsibility, resourcefulness, and respectfulness. The occasion also saw the launch of the school magazine, Lumiere: The Ambience Chronicle 2025-26. The publication serves as a comprehensive compendium of the institution's events, celebrations, and activities throughout the academic year, highlighting achievements across both scholastic and co-scholastic domains, while also showcasing the literary and artistic talents of the student body. The event drew to a close with a formal vote of thanks from the School Vice Principal, Bhawna Choudhary.
