India, Oct. 26 -- I t's been 25 years since Blue first made us sway, sing along and believe in One Love. The UK boy band that defined early-2000s pop nostalgia is back, and this time, they're (really) coming to India. Ahead of their much-awaited three-city tour scheduled in December, band member Lee Ryan got candid with us about what's on his bucket list right now, and spoiler alert, it's not another platinum record. "I would love to get on a motorbike and travel around India and write a journal of my adventures," Ryan shared in an exclusive email chat before the band's shows in Shillong (Meghalaya), Gangtok (Sikkim) and Bengaluru (Karnataka), part of their 25th anniversary celebrations. The excitement, Ryan admits, is extra special this time. Blue's previous two India performances were cancelled, so this tour feels like unfinished business. "We are so happy to be finally coming to India. We really wanted to make this happen," he says, adding, "We were on our Greatest Hits tour in 2024 when we found out about One Love going viral globally - and that was all down to Indian fans celebrating that song, so we're very grateful." Fans, he promises, can expect nothing short of a "musical celebration". "We'll be playing all our hits, and because of the power of social media, many will already be familiar to the audience," he says, further sharing, "We've seen so many reels and dance videos to One Love! So we're expecting a lot of energy, and we can't wait to see it live." For a band that debuted in 2001 with All Rise and went on to dominate the charts through the early 2000s, this anniversary feels both nostalgic and grounding. "We've seen some incredible places, and this time around, we're taking a moment to really appreciate it all," Ryan says. What's perhaps most heartwarming is how Blue continues to connect with listeners old and new. "We've seen a whole new generation discovering our songs," Ryan shares and signs off, "Some through social media, some through their parents' playlists, and that's amazing to see."...
