India, Aug. 16 -- For Mouni Roy, Janmashtami is more than a festival - the actor feels an unspoken bond with Lord Krishna. Her faith runs so deep that she even took a special class to study the Bhagavad Gita. The 39-year-old says, "Studying the Gita was transformative. It deepened my understanding of Lord Krishna's teachings and helped me reflect on life with more clarity. Now, I don't just read the Gita, I try to live it, even when life tests me the most." Recalling her childhood memories of the festival, she shares, "My family would decorate the puja room beautifully for Janmashtami. We'd do Krishna abhishekam, sing bhajans, and stay up till midnight for Lord Krishna's janma aarti. I really treasure those memories." This year, Mouni plans to keep the festivities simple: "For me, the most special part is the spirit of devotion that surrounds the day. I plan to do a puja and have some quiet time to reflect." Interestingly, her acting debut also had a Krishna connection. "My first TV role was Krishna Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi; I've always felt it was more than a coincidence. The name and role marked the beginning of my artistic journey. I'm deeply grateful for it," the actor ends....
