India, March 6 -- A 21-year-old daily wage labourer was allegedly stabbed to death during a violent clash on Holi afternoon at the kabadi market in Makhan Majra while his father sustained injuries. According to police, the deceased, Ankit, a resident of Mouli Jagran, had been sitting with his father, Bhagwan Sahni, at the market around 2 pm on Wednesday when the incident occurred. Sahni, who earns his livelihood by collecting scrap, stated in his complaint that several people in the area were celebrating Holi, applying colours and creating a ruckus nearby. Amid the celebrations, a group of boys allegedly chased some others through the market. Soon after, Arvind, his son Karan, Bachan and another youth, identified as Bobby, allegedly approached Sahni and his son, accusing them of being involved with the group that had torn their clothes. Despite their denial, the accused allegedly began assaulting them with sticks before local residents intervened and temporarily stopped the scuffle. However, Bobby allegedly threatened to return with more people. Within minutes, several youths arrived on motorcycles and on foot, some carrying sticks and knives, and allegedly launched a fresh attack on the father-son duo. Sahni alleged that Arvind struck him on his right arm with a stick and then grabbed Ankit from behind, shouting that he should be killed. Bobby allegedly stabbed Ankit in the right side of his stomach with a knife, while another youth also attacked him with a knife, injuring him near the elbow as he tried to defend himself. Ankit collapsed on the spot. When Sahni tried to help him, Bachan allegedly attacked him with a knife, injuring his left ear. As the commotion escalated, a large crowd gathered at the spot and allegedly began pelting bricks and stones at the attackers, forcing them to flee on foot and on vehicles while issuing threats. Sahni and other locals rushed the injured youth to Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, where doctors declared Ankit brought dead. Police have registered a case on the complaint of Bhagwan Sahni and launched a search for the accused, including Arvind, Karan, Bachan and Bobby, along with several unidentified accomplices....
