Wrestler jumps from fort with 2 kids, all die
MUMBAI, Sept. 5 -- A 30-year-old national-level wrestler and two of her children died after jumping from Naldurg Fort in Dharashiv district of Maharashtra, police said Friday, adding that a case of abetment of suicide and dowry harassment was subsequently registered against her husband and three of his relatives.
The incident took place on Thursday when the woman visited the historical site with her five-year-old son and two-and-a-half-year-old twin daughters, before jumping with them from the structure. The surviving daughter, who was seriously injured, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, an officer aware of the matter said.

According to the police complaint filed by her father, the woman, who had won medals at the national level, had been living with her parents for the past three months following a dispute with her husband and in-laws. The complainant has alleged that his daughter was harassed by her husband and his family over demands for money and other valuables. Based on his complaint, police have registered a case against four people, including the woman's husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and her husband's paternal aunt.
