World book day celebrated at Mount int'l
Ludhiana, May 13 -- Mount International School, Ludhiana, celebrated World Book and Copyright Day on April 23, 2026, with great enthusiasm and a literary spirit through a thoughtfully organised special assembly and engaging student activities.
The special assembly was held to highlight the importance of books in shaping knowledge, imagination, and character.
Students delivered inspiring speeches and thought emphasising the value of reading and the timeless significance of books as sources of wisdom and creativity. The assembly served as a gentle reminder that books are not merely academic tools but lifelong companions that nurture critical thinking and empathy.
To further foster a love for reading, a 'Readathon' was organised for students in Classes 6 and 7.
During this activity, students enthusiastically participated by reading stories from assigned books. They not only demonstrated their reading skills but also displayed creativity by designing and presenting beautifully crafted cover pages based on the stories they explored.
