worker's body recovered 24 hours after Bahadurgarh factory blast
Rohtak, May 24 -- The body of a 23-year-old worker was recovered from the debris of a chemical factory which collapsed after a blast in Bahadurgarh's Modern Industrial Estate (MIE) Part-B area on Friday.
Police identified the victim as Shailesh Kumar. Taking note of the incident, Jhajjar deputy commissioner (DC) Varsha Khangwal has ordered an inquiry into the blast.
Officials said the inquiry committee headed by Bahadurgarh SDM Abhinav Siwach has been asked to ascertain the cause of the explosion and examine whether the factory management had complied with mandatory safety norms and regulations. The committee has been directed to submit its report within two days.
The explosion had led to the collapse of the factory building, trapping workers under the debris. Rescue operations continued for more than a day before the body was recovered.
The police said that the body has been handed over to the family after postmortem and investigation was going on. The incident, that took place on Friday, left six workers injured, who were rescued and admitted to PGIMS Rohtak for treatment....
