Mohali, Sept. 11 -- A 31-year-old interior designer was allegedly attacked with a wooden stick after she objected to her neighbour's dog defecating in the common stairwell of a residential society in Kharar on Tuesday, leaving her with multiple head injuries. Complainant Mini who lives in Palm City, Sector 127, Kharar, said that her upstairs neighbour Pawanpreet Kaur owns five to six pet dogs that frequently defecate in the common area, especially the stairs, of their building. Residents had been repeatedly asking Kaur to clean up after her dogs but she didn't pay heed, said Mini. On Tuesday afternoon, the complainant was heading home after discussing the issue with a ground-floor neighbour, Manju, when Kaur allegedly confronted her in the passage. As an argument ensued, Kaur allegedly picked up a wooden stick and struck Mini on the head three to four times. The assault left Mini bleeding from her head. She further alleged that Kaur threatened her and her family before fleeing with the stick. Mini also alleged that Kaur had assaulted Manju shortly before attacking her. Hearing Mini's screams, neighbours reached the spot and took her to a private hospital. A case under Sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered against Kaur.htc...
