Dharamshala, Aug. 13 -- The state Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has summoned BJP MLA from Dharamshala, Sudhir Sharma, to appear before the investigating officer on August 13 in connection with an FIR registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The notice directs Sharma to provide, at the time of appearance, the documents and records relating to his declared income, sale of land, construction of a residential house at Rakkar, vehicles, investments, bank accounts and other financial transactions. "You are hereby directed, under Section 35 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to appear in person before the investigating officer at the office of police station SV&ACB, Dharamshala, to join the investigation and to render such assistance and provide such information as may be required in connection with the case," states the notice issued to Sharma. He has also been asked to submit a declaration of movable and immovable assets held by him and his family members. The notice states that failure to appear or provide the required documents may invite action under law. The SV&ACB on July 29 had registered an FIR against the MLA in connection with allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, the allegations which Sharma has rejected.
